the medical fact of the day..
my first virgin medical fact is especially dedicated to our dear darling pres :)
Do You Know??
The medically recommended units of alcohol per week is 14 for women and 21 for men.
and just how much is one unit?
HERE is a sum which helps you calculate how many units you have drunk.
First. You need to know the strength of the drink (%ABV) and amount of liquid in millimetres. You multiply the amount of drink in millilitres by the percentage ABV, and then divide by 1,000.
so...
for example.
hmmmm say? geeesh i cant think of any particular alcohol now. how about... JACK DANIELS.
yepp let's take jack daniels for example!!! *winks*
you drink half a litre of jack daniels. the number of units consumed = 500 X 40 / 1000 = 20 units! omg. so if anyone is crazy enough. i doubt anyone is insane enuff to down 20units of JD in a day. erhhh i dont think anyone like that. do i? *ponders*
but the whole point is. it is not highly recommended to be binge drinking i.e. whacking 20 units in a day!!!
and REMEMBER. to keep your alcohol limits to the recommended units a week :)
love your liver:):)
